Monday 6th July

Just a quick post from me today.

Brodie is as sick as a dog. Poor little man, I feel so guilty that I was so cross with his being so naughty last week and now I know why. He has a shocking throat infection. He hasnt hardly moved out of bed for nearly 2 days.

So I didnt get much scrapping done over the weekend. Wasted way too much time on Facebook. I really need to delete my account and stop playing Farm Town.

So anyway what I did manage to do over the weekend is start some Challenges from various online sites.

This is Challenge 25 over at Inspired Blueprints.

I plan on completing a few more over the next week or so. Im finding sketches a great way to get me motivated to scrap again.

Looking back

At my blog post since the start of the year, scrapbooking wise. It appears that I havent been doing a great deal. I think I will have to work on that and start uploading some more photos.

The problem that I have is that my very old computer has my photoshop and camera loading files on it. Some days the poor old computer has a melt down. Much the same as my 5 year old son. Some days I can load up a photo and it takes the same amount of time to boil the kettle and make a cup of tea before my computer will upload the photo.

I really need to look into buying another laptop and becoming a little bit tech savy with the new computer packages.

So that is my excuse for not having many photos of my blog. I guess that is what we all look at when we blog surf.

So I am going to work on that.

Here are a couple of cards I have done in the past few days and a layout. Yes don't fall off your chair. I have done a layout.

Photobucket

This card is from Kristina Werners "Make a card" video that you can find on her blog. I am pretty sure her blog link is on my side bar. I have played around with it a bit. Also the colour in my photos looks very washed out at the moment because, its so rainy and overcast here I can't get a decent photo. The little puffy hearts I have used are from Riot Art and you get a whole sheet for about $2.99. Cheap as chips.

Photobucket

I just adore the new Cosmo papers. I have embossed the card stock with my Cuttlebug. The embossing folder is "Swiss Dots".

Photobucket

Yes I have hand cut the pink backing on my stamped image. The downside to owning a Slice Machine. Is that it only cuts at 1/2 inch cuts. So if you want to make a backing for your image, it looks somewhat silly as its too big. I am going to invest in some Nestablities soon. I think!.

This layout is about Brodies attitude at the moment. Sometimes when he is being a little bit naughty, he will say this. But he probably heard his mother say it a few times as well. I finally got to use my sad face Crafty Matters Ceramic embellishment and word title. I knew one day they would come in handy.

Photobucket

This is the card Ruey made and gave me for my birthday. How clever is this. She had ordered my Pandora Charms but they hadnt arrived so she printed out pictures of them and attached them to the card. Ruey is so clever.

I must learn how to make that ribbon bow. Stunning.

Well must get ready and start my day. Off to the hairdressers today - Finally a new one. My original hairdresser has been off with the birds for the past 12-18months and I have had some shocker hair cuts and colours. I kept forgiving her for silly mistakes but after my last awful cut I have decided to try someone new. Sorry no before photos. Lets hope I might get an after one to share with you.

Have a safe weekend. xxxFelicity.

1st of July.

Boy Oh boy where does the time fly too.

I remember when I was younger. Maybe it was one of my great aunt's who said to me "Enjoy your younger years, as you get older the days, weeks and years seem to go very fast" Its so true.

We are in our first week of school holidays here. I spent yesterday afternoon at the Royal Childrens hospital with Brodie yesterday. He has only been to do number two's about 4-5 times in the last 6 weeks approx. He does this and has been doing this since he was very very young. Just like some children have fixations or eating disorders mine refuses to go to the toilet and it usually turns into some sort of screaming session in my house.

Actually he has regressed again into a screaming, head spinning feral some days (am I allowed to say that?). Honestly I swore I wasnt going to be a screaming mother but he is just doing my head in at the moment. He is so Jeckel and Hyde. There is only so much bad behavour you can blame on Autism.

Anyway, Not much news but I did scrap today and feel wonderful. The house looked like a bomb had been let off but its such a small price to pay for some Me time.

I will upload some goodies to share tomorrow after I have hit the shop early as all the mid year sales are starting tomorrow.

Happy Birthday to me.

Well I have left the 30's yesterday and now entering another era of my life.

I have been very spoilt.

Andrew and Ruey organised a surprised dinner on Saturday night at my fav local Thai resturant.

My birthday spent lunch with my little brother at another local cafe for a yummy meal and dinner with more friends at Hogs Breath.

So this morning I made sure I hit the gym.

So a big Thank you to everyone who shared my birthday and made it so much fun and to all of the lovely pressies and cards that I received. Oh and all the lovely messages.

So here are a few quick photos to share with you.

I'm still here - If anyone is still reading my blog.

Andrew is finally home. So much for thinking that I would get tonnes of stuff done while he was away. By the time I got Brodie into bed, I would fall into an exhausted stupper in front of the computer. I also became addicted to Farm Town on Facebook. Talk about the biggest brain dead waste of time. Im still playing though. Well its the first time I have been a millionair in my life and I can make a couple $100,000 in a few short hours. I can only dream.

So I have been doing lots of different things in the last few weeks.

Due to my old computer not letting me open up my blog and my photoshop, old computer and Picaso all going on strike and not working as a team. I had nothing to show.

Honestly its take a good few hours just to edit one photo add interuptions mainly by one 5 year old and my poor blog has been sadly neglected.

So here are some photos to share.

I am hoping to go to Bons Scrapping Crop day on Sunday. However, it is my birthday in a few days time the big 4-0 and my darling hubby is taking us out for dinner tomorrow night. So depending on how much wine is consumed.

Love, love, love the new Basic Grey Lime Rickey. I have about 3 sheets of every paper from the range. I am so busting to scrap with this a little bit more.

Finally scrapped this photo of Andrew's Dad.

With Melbourne's weather being so lovely for winter. I pulled out the camera and let Brodie have some outdoor fun. I realised one of the reasons I have not been scrapping is because, I havent been taking any new photos.

So you will probably see photo over load from now on.

Here are some quick pics from todays fun.

Still here and a bit quiet

I haven't had a lot of time to scrap or anything in general.

Andrew has gone to Poland and at this very moment is making his way back home. Thankfully.

I have always had a huge respect for single mums but now I have even a great appreciation of the lonely and tiring one on one it can be. As much as I love my son it comes to a point, that after 24/7 with each other we are a bit over it all.

To add to that its a long weekend and I have lost 2 kindy days to excursions or meetings, that I have had to attend.

So I have some work to show. I finally scrapped some layouts last night. I honestly thought I would get more done and have a million ideas going on in my head but Im a bit brain drained by 9pm at night. Add a glass of wine or two and not much other than some facebook or net surfing is getting done.

So I will hop on to the other computer and load up some photos shortly.

I hope that people are still reading and hope to have something exciting to share soon.
